Laskar Pelangi is first novel of masterpiece Andrea Hirata published by Bentang Pustaka in the year 2005. This novel tells a story about life of 10 chlids from studying poor family ( SD and SMP) in a school Muhammadiyah in island Belitong which full of limitation. They is:

They go to school and learning at the same class from class 1 SD until class 3 SMP, and calls their x'self as Laskar Pelangi. At parts of story end, member of Laskar Pelangi increases one daughters who so called Flo, a move pupil. The limitation do not make hopeless them, but instead makes them is raced to be able to do thing better.

Laskar Pelangi is first book from Tetralogi Laskar Pelangi. The next book is Sang Pemimpi, Edensor and Maryamah Karpov.
